How to Treat Achilles Tendonitis Using Insoles To Provide relief From Foot Pain The Achilles tendon is the longest and stoutest of all the tendons in the body and its function is to connect the muscles in the heel with those in the calf. This amazing tendon is immensely strong and flexible, allowing humans to run and jump, activities that place high demands on the ability of the tendon to bear the weight of the body.
